In Memory

Melissa Wichert (Sholly)

From Betsy Novotny:

I have some sad news about our classmate, Molly Wichert (Melissa Sholly on FB). She passed away last month after a long struggle with soft tissue sarcoma. She fought it with strength and dignity up until the end. There will be a Celebration of Life in May. If you’re interested in attending, let me know and I will message you the details once I know them.

Heartbroken to read this news.  Betsy, I know you were extra special friends ... thank you for letting us know.  Ironically, she has been on my mind and heart to contact during this time of isolation.  Molly’s vibrant, red-headed soul can teach us all to DO IT ... Do It NOW!  ðŸ’”

Well I was also shocked to hear of Melissa's passing a few weeks ago. I just got to know her last summer/ fall when she reached out to me on Facebook since we lived fairly close to each other. Being the shy guy I was in Crossland I didn't really know her well then. I did have the privilege of visiting her at her horse farm and had lunch nearby one summer day last year. I'm praying for her family to find peace and comfort knowing she is in a better place now and pain free. Another Cavalier has passed way too soon.
